The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, 17th November 2022, was attended by various stakeholders, including the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Chief for the area, the school administration, Town development youth committee member and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
In his address, the DCE, Mr. Ebenezer Monney, reiterated the Assembly's commitment to improving the living conditions of residents within the district. He emphasized that the provision of the facility is part of the Assembly's broader plans to improve sanitation and hygiene in schools within the district.
The Ekumfi Adoagyiri School's headteacher thanked the assembly for the facility and noted that it would significantly enhance the school's environment for hygienic practices and sanitation. He assured them that the building would be well-maintained and used for its intended function.
The PTA Chairman also thanked the Assembly for the facility and urged parents to help the school care for it in order to keep it in good condition.
The newly built restroom facility is anticipated to enhance the school's cleanliness and hygiene standards, which will benefit the kids' and staff's general health and wellbeing.
To further improve cleanliness and hygiene, the Ekumfi District Assembly intends to build comparable facilities in additional district schools.
