The Member of Parliament for the Ekumfi Constituency, Hon. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe, has supported final-year Junior High School (JHS) students preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with mathematical sets to aid their preparation and participation in the examination.
The presentation, which was made on behalf of the MP at the Assembly Hall, was received by the Ekumfi District Director of Education for onward distribution to all final-year students across the constituency who are scheduled to sit for the BECE.
The intervention forms part of the MP’s commitment towards supporting education and ensuring that students have access to essential examination materials needed to confidently participate in the national assessment. Mathematical sets remain among the key requirements for candidates, particularly for subjects such as Mathematics and Integrated Science.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the Presiding Member of the Ekumfi District Assembly highlighted the importance of supporting students at critical stages of their academic journey and encouraged the candidates to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies as they prepared for the examination.
Officials of the Ghana Education Service in the district expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that such support helps reduce the financial burden on parents and guardians while ensuring that candidates are adequately equipped for the examination.
The Ekumfi District Assembly reiterated its commitment to working with stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament and the Education Directorate, to promote quality education and improve learning outcomes within the district.
The distribution of mathematical sets forms part of ongoing efforts by stakeholders in the Ekumfi Constituency to provide the needed support and motivation to BECE candidates as they prepare to transition to the next stage of their education.
